New and returning world dramas – details

Five Bedrooms S1 BBC1 10/03/2020
“Five different people at different times of their lives bond at a wedding after being seated together at the singles table. After a few too many drinks, the solution to all of their problems seems to be buying a five-bedroom house together”. The eight part Australian drama continues daily on weekday afternoons. A second season has been confirmed.

Hospital Playlist S1 Netflix 12/03/2020
“Every day is extraordinary for five doctors and their patients inside a hospital, where birth, death and everything in between coexist”. Korean drama which is being marketed as a Netflix Original series. Episodes added weekly.

Bloodride S1 Netflix 13/03/2020
“The doomed passengers aboard a spectral bus head toward a gruesome, unknown destination in this deliciously macabre horror anthology series”. Netflix Original series from Norway.

Elite S3 Netflix 13/03/2020
“When three working-class teens enroll in an exclusive private school in Spain, the clash between them and the wealthy students leads to murder”. Netflix Original series from Spain.

Kingdom S2 Netflix 13/03/2020
“While strange rumors about their ill king grip a kingdom, the crown prince becomes their only hope against a mysterious plague overtaking the land”. Netflix Original series from Korea.

The Valhalla Murders (Brot) S1 Netflix 13/03/2020
“An Oslo detective with a painful past returns to his native Iceland to help a dedicated cop hunt a serial killer with a link to a mysterious photo”. Icelandic drama which is a Netflix co-production with RÚV. (Note that it’s not currently possible to add this show to your Netflix queue in the UK so although it should be available globally outside Iceland and March 13 has been announced as the release date in a number of regions there is at least a slight doubt as to whether we’ll get it in the UK on that date).

Women of the Night (Keizersvrouwen) S1 Netflix 13/03/2020
“Haunted by a shadowy past, the wife of a rising star in Amsterdam’s mayoral office finds herself drawn into the city’s underworld of sex and drugs”. Dutch drama which is being marketed as a Netflix Original series.

New and returning British and US dramas – details

The Sinner S3 Netflix 06/03/2020 (Available Now) [*]
The Sinner’s third installment follows Detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) as he begins a routine investigation of a tragic car accident on the outskirts of Dorchester, in upstate New York. Based on the US airing presumably the first 5 episodes will be available immediately with the rest added weekly.
EDIT: This seemed like a very unusual release pattern for Netflix as they don’t usually release shows in the middle of their US run and as of 11:30 am on Friday season 3 hasn’t appeared and any date indicating it would be out today is no longer on the Netflix site. We’ve left it on the list just in case it suddenly pops up over the weekend but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Mrs. Fletcher S1 Sky Comedy 10/03/2020
“Kathryn Hahn stars in a dual coming-of-age story based on the novel by Tom Perrotta, exploring the impact of internet porn and social media on the lives of Eve Fletcher, an empty-nest single mother, and her college freshman son Brendan”.

On My Block S3 Netflix 11/03/2020
“In a rough inner-city Los Angeles neighborhood, four smart, funny and streetwise teens find their lifelong friendship tested as they begin high school”.

Breeders S1 Sky1 12/03/2020
“Breeders exposes the parental-paradox that it is possible, in the very same moment, to love your child to the horizon of the universe, while being angry enough to want to send them there. Martin Freeman stars alongside Daisy Haggard”.

Project Blue Book S2 Syfy 12/03/2020
“A tough US Air Force officer and a skeptical scientist investigate UFO and alien conspiracies as Cold War paranoia spreads”.
