Four brand new shows from Central & Eastern Europe are coming to Walter Presents UK this July & August.
Four Strangers (Uspjeh) (Croatia) (17th July, Channel 4). Four complete strangers end up bound together irrevocably by a violent event. A multi-layered drama focused on powerful characters, each in some way ground down by the everyday struggle of life in the city. The series is directed by Danis Tanović an Academy Award winner in 2001 for the film No Man’s Land.

Sins of the Fathers (Odwróceni. Ojcowie i córki) (Poland) (29th July, All4). An unusual gangster thriller shining a light on the dark and dangerous activities of the Warsaw Mafia: two men, a retired policeman and a former criminal must face their past when their daughters’ lives are suddenly put at risk.
Hide and Seek (Pryatki) (Ukraine) (14 August, Channel 4). A father and daughter play a game of hide-and-seek. Soon, she is nowhere to be found… Later a video is posted, which shows the girl holding a sign with a mysterious set of numbers. She’s the first of several children who disappear without a trace in a small, industrial town.

Angel of Death (Szadz) S2 (Poland) (26 August, All4). Season 2 of the crime drama about a small-town policewoman chasing a vicious serial killer. The identity of the killer is not the mystery in this Polish drama rather the motives behind the killings.
