New and returning series – details

The Feed S1 Virgin TV 16/09/2019
“A man’s invention of a brain implant that allows people to share thoughts and emotions gets into the wrong hands”. New 10-part series which is co-produced by Liberty Global and Amazon Prime. It will be on Amazon in the US, Canada & some other places though the Amazon date hasn’t yet been announced. Very late notice of the UK date (via TV Wise) though attentive Virgin customers may have seen it last week via this article – which is a bit more detailed. Unfortunately I can’t currently find a trailer to post even though the series is due in 3 days time.

Defending the Guilty S1 BBC2 17/09/2019
“Will Packham is an idealistic pupil barrister – or idealistic for now. Can Will hold onto his principles and prove he has what it takes?”

City on a Hill S1 Sky Atlantic 18/09/2019
“Kevin Bacon stars as corrupt FBI agent Jackie Rohr who teams up with an idealistic prosecutor (Aldis Hodge) to take down a gang of armoured car thieves”.

American Horror Story: 1984 S9 FOX 19/09/2019
“The world, as it is currently known, ends – and a new world begins. Psychological thriller, starring Sarah Paulson, Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates and Emma Roberts”.

Mr. Mercedes S3 StarzPlay 19/09/2019
Third season of the American crime drama based on the Bill Hodges trilogy of novels by Stephen King. This season is based on the novel Finders Keepers.

Disenchantment S1P2 Netflix 20/09/2019
“Princess duties call, but she’d rather be drinking. Free-spirited Bean exasperates the king as she wreaks havoc with her demon and elf pals”.
